움직이는 수장고는 단지 그림을 보관하는 창고 역할에 그치지 것만이 아닌 보관과 전시 모두를 담당하는 수장고로 전체의 벽면이 회전하는 방식으로 많은 작품들을 동시에 감상할 수 있는 시스템을 갖추고 있으며 수장고의 미래 지향성을 제시하고 있고 조각 역시 회전 방향의 변화를 주어 다양한 각도와 시야에서 감상이 가능하다. 또한 작품의 운반과 보관을 동시에 최대한 많은 작품이 순환할 수 있도록 한다. 건물에 들어간 녹색은 고려청자의 색에서 영감을 받은 것으로 경복궁 담장 문양과 더불어 우리나라를 대표하는 수장고를 상징할 만한 색상이다.

It also allows as many works to be circulated as possible at the same time for transportation and storage of works. The green color in the building was inspired by the color of the Goryeo celadon, and it is a color that represents Korea along with the pattern of the Gyeongbokgung Palace fence.
